Install IIS component on 2000 sever machine,if not installed earlier.Make sure that server machine is connected on your LAN network i.e. an IP address has been assigned to server machine .(Note that private IP addresses has been provided & not real IP with SCPC DAMA setup.)

Step-2.

By default,there will be a directory named inetpub/wwwroot on your server .Please put all your webpages,including default.htm page, on your local server machine.

Step-3.

To manage this default webserver ,go to Administrative tools->Internet services manager->Internet information services->local machine name->default website where one may set properties(directory secu.,http headers,custom errors,server extensions,website,home directory,documents etc etc.) ,publish new websites,delete website etc.

Step-4.

Your website is up.You may access your website using IP address of your local server machine.

Note--

To publish from other directory,other than default,go to Internet services manager under  administrative tools,follow the website ->new option.

Some applications require Front page server extensions (server 2000 component) to be installed on server machine.
